5 Skincare Habits for Radiant, Healthy Skin

1. Double Cleanse Morning and Night

Double cleansing is a non-negotiable for clear, healthy skin. Using a cosmeceutical-grade cleanser that supports your skin barrier is key.

  • In the morning, double cleansing removes sweat, oil, and impurities that build up overnight — prepping your skin for moisturiser, makeup, and SPF.

  • At night, it’s essential to thoroughly remove makeup, sunscreen, oil, and pollution from the day. This step also allows your active skincare — like AHA/BHA exfoliants, serums, or masks — to absorb more effectively.

2. Stick to a Routine

Consistency is everything in skincare. Creating a daily routine ensures you're giving your skin the care it needs — regularly.

  • Keep your makeup remover or pre-cleanser by the sink and apply it before your shower.

  • Use your main cleanser in the shower, then immediately follow with moisturiser, SPF, and/or makeup after drying off.

  • Set a reminder on your phone for your exfoliation nights to keep on track.

Good skin is a result of good habits!

3. Use Quality Active Ingredients

The effectiveness of your skincare lies in its active ingredients — the molecules that directly treat concerns like acne, ageing, pigmentation, or dehydration.

Choosing the right actives for your unique skin concerns is essential. Look for products formulated with ingredients that are clinically proven and suited to your skin type.

4. Take a Holistic Approach

Healthy skin starts from within. Beyond skincare, your lifestyle, diet, sleep, and even medications can impact your skin’s condition.

Consider these holistic habits:

  • Eat a balanced diet and move your body regularly

  • Reduce stress and prioritise sleep

  • Avoid excessive alcohol, smoking, and sun exposure

  • Discuss any skin-related medication side effects with your doctor

Take time each day to unwind, meditate, or simply practice self-care. It’s all connected.

5. Accept That Your Skin is Skin

And finally — be kind to yourself. Your skin is your body’s largest organ, made up of water, lipids, proteins, blood vessels, and more. It protects you every day from external stressors like sun, temperature, bacteria, and pollution.

It’s completely normal for skin to change over time.

Instead of stressing about every blemish or imperfection, embrace the journey. Learn to love your skin for all that it does — today, tomorrow, and always.
